Location of the Conference
The P3 2009 and P3 21010 conferences were held in the hotel Ramada Plaza Herradura Golf Resort and Conference Center, a hotel that has obtained a five levels from The Certification Of Sustainable Tourism (CST).This year the area we have chosen for the conference will be the University EARTH, who administers a system of self management in order to guarantee the practice of Sustainable initiatives while at the same time supports the processes of integral education to its students. The university EARTH has launched various programs on a national level such as carbon measurement and carbon neutral certification and many other initiatives which you'll be able to personally learn about during the workshop sessions of our event

Selection of Vendors
CANAECO motivates, evaluates and monitors the responsible conduct of its value chain through the purveyors of goods and services that they will be contracted for the operations of P3. Some of the actions that we will be implementing are:

Contract purveyors that generate a minimum impact on the environment.
Utilize recycled materials.
Avoid the printing of documents requesting that they be produced in a digital format.
Promote the event through electronic marketing media, social networking and digital invitations and communications, thus avoiding the use of paper
Preferably contract local purveyors and services in order to benefit the local communities and also reduce transportation needs.
Offer shared transportation systems.

Event Coordinator For P3 2011: Meetings by Horizontes
To organize and coordinate the logistics for P3 Meetings By Horizontes were contracted whose services are administered by a Horizontes Nature Tours, the first tour operator to obtain five levels in the Certification For Sustainable Tourism (CST) and who have shown a long trajectory in leading sustainable practices since its creation, in 1984

Compensation of Emissions
At the conclusion of P3, the total carbon emissions generated by the event will be compensated. Emissions created by land transportation will be directly compensated through the National Fund of Forestry Financing (FONAFIFO)

International Flights
The carbon dioxide emissions created by international flights from the participants and international speakers who will be attending the event, will be compensated through CANAECO's program: Climate Conscious Traveler (VCC).
